A major contribution of the Institute towards promoting human rights and taking on issues that warrants immediate attention was the publication of the Report on Environmental Pollution by Nitta Gelatin India Limited (NGIL) at Kathikkudam in Kerala. The report was first released in Thiruvananthapuram and later in Thrissur at a press meet. A public discussion was organized in Thrissur at Kerala Sahitya Academy. Copies of the report were sent to concerned departments and ministries, human rights institutions, scientific institutions including Nitta Gelatin Incorporation in Japan and ISO office in Geneva.
Guidelines for Ethical Standards in Clinical Drug Trials on Human Participants. Building on to a pioneering project on Combating Corruption in Clinical Drug Trials in Kerala, Jananeethi Institute produced a booklet in the local language (Malayalam) compiling a set of critical guidelines for maintaining ethical standards while designing and implementing Clinical Drug Trials.
