Jananeethi Institute for Justice Education, Research and Development has been conceived and launched to address and respond to local, national, regional and global issues in the human rights and governance domains through advancing knowledge, building and embedding capacities in stakeholders and promoting and advocating for change and reforms. Jananeethi Institute is a registered Society registered under the Travancore Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955 (Registration No 895/2000 Tcr). The creation of Institute is also a response to a compelling need to build on to and leverage from the emergent experiences of the non profit society - Jananeethi, the promoter and incubator of the Institute.

Jananeethi Institute for Justice education, Research and Development visualizes itself as a catalyst, incubator and promoter of people's initiatives for protection of rights, prevention of violence and promotion of justice, peace and harmony without discrimination on caste, colour, creed, region or religion.

Empowering people to avail themselves of their rights and to persuade them to observe their duties will be the mission of Jananeethi Institute. This will be achieved through justice education, research, and human resource development, networking with other groups, through advocacy and direct intervention in common causes and other democratic movements.
